Digital Terrain - Interoperable Solutions, Rapid Implementations
The RDI-WRS Wireless Repeater System is like nothing you have seen before. Harnessing the energy of wind, no additional cabling is required.
Save time and power costs in extending your underground network by implementing a sustainable eco-friendly alternative
RDI-WRS allows full Wi-Fi connectivity throughout your mine, with no wires, not even power cables. The RDI-WRS sets itself apart from other similar devices by having an in-built micro-turbine, allowing it to charge its internal battery and power the repeater circuit from wind velocity, unlike similar products, this device doesn't require regular battery changes even with full network usage day and night.
Expanding already installed infrastructure, Provide networking in areas not thought practicle, or installing infrastructure from the start.
Installation can be as simple as bolting the device to the backs, and switching it on. Once turned on, the turbine will freely rotate and provide power to the repeater and battery charging system. If the wind speed drops or the fans get turned off, the battery will power the device for up to 12 hours. The DI-WRS connects to a Wireless repeater or signal, and then repeats the same (or different) signal for other devices to connect to.
The 5dBi Antennas provide ample coverage for strong connections up to 100M Line of Sight.
We understand how critical Infrastructure is, that is why we have designed the RDI-WRS to be as reliable, robust and as easy to use as possible.
Once powered up, the RDI-WRS connects to and creates a Wi-Fi signal, allowing more RDI-WRS devices and other devices such as Laptops, Vehicles and DI-EMS 9's to connect to.
the most important part of an underground mine is typically the one with the worst communicaitons; the decline face. With the RDI-WRS you can extend your comms down to the face easily, and remove it when blasting is required, giving you connectivity when you need it.
Why spend money connecting your mine's temporary areas, cabling in access points only just to remove them when finished.
